LOCAL MP TO SPEAK AT LAUNCH OF NEW ENGINEERING FACILITY - ÖPIK

Lembit Öpik, Liberal Democrat MP for Montgomeryshire, will be speaking tonight in the Grand Ballroom of Powis Castle at a dinner to celebrate the opening of a new innovation and engineering facility in Welshpool launched by company Dytecna.
Approximately 70 senior company directors are expected to attend representing 40 different UK Defence and other Industrial Sector organisations. Dytecna specialises in providing technology solutions for military vehicles, naval vessels, and industry and their product range will be showcased today.
Commenting Lembit said:
"I am delighted to have been asked to speak at the launch of this new exciting engineering facility.
"Welshpool will be heartily encouraged by the new facility's creation of around 35 jobs by a company gathering a strong reputation behind it as it expands.
"It is extremely encouraging to learn that the Dytecna Centre in Welshpool will play an important part in the company's strategy for growth, and I hope also that it will play an important part in the boost to the Welsh economy during these difficult economic times."
