Cut waiting times for Powys patients

Powys Teaching Health Board have announced that waiting times for Powys patients in English hospitals are going to get longer in order to reduce the health board's deficit.

This will mean thousands of Powys Patients will be waiting longer than English patients at Shrewsbury or Telford hospitals.

Cllr Glyn Preston, Lib Dem Councillor for Llanidloes and Health Service Campaigner, said: “Powys patients should not have to pay for the health board's deficit.”

“Welsh Labour Government should cough up the cash to ensure that patients in Montgomeryshire & Glyndwr don't suffer.”
